Our History
STV Machinery has been around since 1999 and was originally started to provide refurbished BOY machines. Since 2009 we have been refurbishing all manufacturers moulding machines to a high standard and over the years STV Machinery has evolved to offer even more types of plastics equipment.
Our website is popular across all continents not just for used machinery, but also as a good source of information for those entering into the industry. There are few places where such a variety of equipment can be looked at, particularly when you also consider our ‘connect’ section of classified adverts.
Richard Perry joined in 2007 and a year later, STV Machinery moved out of the premises in Milton Keynes as a standalone business with its own premises. In 2013 refurbished ancillary equipment was added to the services on offer. The same stringent tests apply whether its a moulding machine or a simple hopper loader being refurbished.
A brand new range of ancillary equipment was added to the portfolio in 2015. It started off with hopper loaders and dryers but rapidly grew to include chillers, desiccant dryers, granulators and dosers. 2016 saw the expansion of services offered to include refurbishing customer owned machines. This has proved a popular option as many customers find sourcing the ‘right’ machine problematic on the used market.
In 2017, STVconnect rebranded to STV Machinery to better reflect the nature of the business and to bring all areas of the business under one name. STV Machinery were announced as the UK agent for Yizumi moulding machines and set up a showroom to showcase their machinery.
April 2017 saw Lee Parkins become Technical Director. Lee started with STV Machinery in 2009, he looks after the workshop and is the first point of contact for customers with machines under a guarantee with us.
STV Machinery became a member of the PMMDA in June 2018.
Location & Facilities
In 2012 we purchased and renovated a 12,000 square foot building which has given us the facilities to improve the quality and testing process. We can now handle machines up to 500 tonnes clamp force and have space to stock around 40 machines. We also keep stock of new Yizumi machines and spare parts in our workshop.
